Our Mission

Are you New?

If you are either new to the area or our parish, wanting to return to the Catholic faith, or wish to become Catholic, visit our “New to Port Townsend” page which will help get you started.

Our Mission…

To celebrate God’s presence in our midst by Mass, Sacraments, and Prayer;
To live Christ’s love by serving others, especially the poor, neglected, and suffering;
To grow in the truths and values of our Catholic Tradition, teach them to our children, and proclaim them to those who do not know them.

Prayer in honor of the 175th Anniversary of the Archdiocese of Seattle

Lord Jesus Christ,
you are the beginning and the end,
Lord of time and history.
We give you thanks for this local Church,
and for these 175 years of faith and challenge.
Give us the grace we need
to respond to the needs of our time
with wisdom and compassion.
Make us one in mind and heart,
and show us how to love all people as you love them.
You who live and reign for ever and ever. Amen.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us. Holy Angels of God, pray for us. St. James, pray for us. St. Kateri Tekakwitha, pray for us. St. Frances Cabrini, pray for us. All holy men and women, pray for us

Stella Maris

Lord God, redeemer and inspiration of souls, in the Blessed Virgin Mary, Star of the Sea, you have provided a light in the storm. By her favor and prayer, grant that we may set a course through these times to reach our safe haven in heaven with you. -Amen

Today’s Mysteries

Sorrowful Mysteries - Tuesday & Friday

In the Sorrowful Mysteries we stand beneath the Cross of Jesus, coming face to face with the truth of his insistence that the Christ must suffer and die. No matter that we long to cry out, if only we had been there; we still encounter the reality of our human position and the truth that is Our Lord’s. We sense the sword piercing the heart of his Mother, and pray that it may open our whole being to the agony and the power that the infinite love of Jesus in his Passion chose and endured for us.
